From the anthem, the journey turns to the American dream. Neil Diamond’s They’re Coming to America celebrates the generations of people who have come to this country seeking opportunity, freedom, and a place to call home.
A Million Dreams
An ensemble of Vocal Majority women and men brings the next chapter to life with A Million Dreams—a celebration of imagination, possibility, and the belief that we can help create a better world.
You Raise Me Up
The dream becomes personal with You Raise Me Up, reminding us that none of us makes the journey alone. There are people who give us strength, lift us when we stumble, and inspire us to become more than we thought we could be.
A Celebration of America
Cohan Patriotic Medley
The pace picks up with three American favorites: Yankee Doodle Dandy, You’re a Grand Old Flag, and Give My Regards to Broadway. It’s a joyful celebration of American music, tradition, and the spirit of a nation that knows how to celebrate.
Smile
Then comes a delightful change of pace. The Tag Team Quartet offers Smile, bringing warmth, personality, and a reminder that even in difficult times, there is room for joy.
New York, New York
The journey then takes us to one of the world’s great cities. New York, New York captures the energy, ambition, determination, and unmistakable spirit of a city forever connected to the story of September 11.

How Great Thou Art
After the excitement comes a moment of reflection. How Great Thou Art invites us to pause and consider the wonder of creation, the power of faith, and the things that are greater than ourselves.

Performed VMX, a small group of Vocal Majority performers, this medley brings the evening back to the human experience. We all stumble. We all face difficult moments. And we all have the capacity to get back up.

The meaning of freedom takes center stage as Vocal Majority honors the men and women who have pledged to defend it.
The American Armed Forces Medley recognizes all six branches of the United States military:

What began with our national anthem culminates in a stirring declaration of the enduring spirit of a nation.
